Good: it seems to play wide range of formats

Bad: It doesn't work consistantley.

Comment: Sometimes works, mostly doesn't. Buy something else. I really have tried to make this thing work, contacted the manufacturer (waste of time), tried on their forum, set up a petition. Nothing. The ASUS Oplay HD2 does not work properly. and I can't be arsed with it anymore.

I own it

Good: It's small

Bad: Very poor software

Comment: I've owned one of these for a couple of years, and my advice to anyone thinking of buying one is to look elesewhere.
The firmware is rubbish and crashes regularly (browsing folders usually causes a crashes). Check out the Asus forums and you'll see what many users think of Asus.
I won't be buying anything other than motherboards from Asus in the future.

Good: plays all media files . Torrent download

Bad: No playlist .. very difficult to listen to music Very unstable .. reboots Regularly .. Wireless connection has to be reset frequently

Comment: I have purchased the OPLay 6 months back in india
I have upgraded to the latest firm ware but still has issues
Torrent download is a good feature
You can either run Samba, NAS or download torrent .
If any of the above services in on you cant do anything else on the HDD . you cant even come back to the home menu. If you come back to the Home menu . Samba shuts down
The web interface can of little use as you can do nothing
The DNLA works thankfully
Not really a great network device

Wait ... for better network devices to come out in the market or create one using a mini ATX board .. it may even work out cheaper .. I ahev decided to create my own .. My rough guess should be around Rs 8K -9K without HDD

I own it

Good: At last a media player that can take your own hard disc

Comment: I'm really pleased with the Asus unit - i'm still exploring some of the features, mainly i want to be able to watch video that is on my PC by sharing folders but being able to move music and video content onto the unit means i can use it when i don't have my PC or broadbaband on.
It is well made - can't understand the adverse comments on build quiality !
Remote control is very user friendly, had some issues connecting to my network ( cabled not wireless ) but the firmware update to 1.15 sorted that out.
Great Unit !

Good: Pret convenabil.
