Good: Unbeatable picture quality.
Bad: Surround sound is not so good. I have now disconnected it!
Comment: The large picture is almost flat and is of superb quality.
Surround sound is not so good.
There are 4 scart sockets, all in use!
Reliabilty has been excellent over 5 years, the only fault being the failure of one button on the remote control.
The TV is very heavy and needs 2 people to lift it!
The TV and stand are cleverly designed to blend and look really stylish.
I am really glad I bought this machine and recommend it.

Good: Picture and sound
Bad: It's big and VERY heavy
Comment: I have had this TV for a while now and felt that it was time to move to plasma/LCD and eventually Sky HD. The wife enjoys all the SD TV progs so we are more concerned with that at the moment. Absolutely none of the countless LCDs I viewed come remotely close to the clean, sharp performance and plasma still displays excess noise for my tastes. This TV has spoiled me and as such I will stick with it until it dies or LCD/plasma improves significantly (HD excepted of course).

Good: Screen size, picture quality and minimalist cabinet from front.
Bad: Nothing I can think of. Maybe the huge back if I'm pushed.
Comment: Picked this TV up brand new last week for £600, in a local store. My partner and I spent the morning looking at LCD and plasma pictures, mostly 37-inch. We were interested in the picture quality via Freeview as this is what we watch. We were very disappointed. The picture wasn't a patch on what we already had -- a 32-inch Hitachi CRT. That was when we decided on the 36ZP48. As a bonus, because the Toshiba only has about a 1.5-inch cabinet around the edge of the screen, the overall width of the TV is less than our 32-inch Hitachi. Classic.
