Good: The picture quality
Bad: Limited HDMI inputs
Comment: Excellent set for the money, even allowing for the fact that LCD and plasma sets have dropped dramatically over the last year or so. Has performed flawlessly for 18 months. Can't fault it really

Good: Good value for a 50" display
Bad: Only one HDMI input
Comment: Had the Sony for around two years now and I think it's a great piece of kit, which (touch wood) has worked perfectly.
Now that I've got a proper HD source connected to it it really comes into it's own, when using an upscaling DVD player the improvement over SD was noticeable.

Good: Looks Good
Bad: The whole package. I feel conned by Sony
Comment: We got one just over a year ago, in fact 13 months ,and gues what? its gone, no pictures just out of the blue. How on earth can a product over a thousand pound just last this short? I am highly disappointed. I haven't got the slightest clue how much it is going to cost to fix.Hmm!

Good: Big screen, nice price, high def, freeview.
Bad: If you can get it to work for more than a month.
Comment: When I bought this TV, it was a tossup between this and a 42in HD plasma, I wanted a large, HD tv for gaming and to watch movies, so I thought the bigger the better. At first, everything was great, but after fourteen months, the colour started to go wonky, purple fringing on all channels, this became worse and worse until the TV was unwatchable, so I had to have it repaired. Now, four months later and the screen has started to flicker, which on a 50in, is seriously headache inducing, once again making the TV unwatchable. Two breakdowns, twenty months, over £180 of repairs. Shoulda bought the plasma.

Good: The picture - I heard rear pros had bad picture quality but I can't fault this TV in any way. Perfect
Bad: I had to think long and hard on this and I've came up with nothing
Comment: Don't bother with a plasma or LCD. For the price you get a load more TV for your money with this TV.

Good: Price, connectivity, picture quality
Bad: A slight watermark effect on bright contrast colours
Comment: For the money this set is excellent, look for bargains under £900.00 incl VAT. Well impressed running my Xbox 360 through it at 720p. Compares well to my friend's Samsung 50-inch plasma costing over twice as much.
