Good: HD/BR playback quality, 4 HDMI in, Sonysynch
Bad: Still average LED, embarrasingly poor picture with any input source other than SKYHD or Freesat. Sound quality is ok with voices but poor depth means movies sound weak and external av eq' is a must.
Comment: This is a great tv if you have all the "high end" components to match it up with. Even DVD'S (unless blueray) when upscalled seem a little grainy. But feed it a good HDsignal or play a blueray disc through a decent player and it shines. As a standard terrestrial tv you will be dissapointed for the money spent. Images blur then re-focus constantly, blacks are hazy and whites, although vibrant, are far from defined. Although the sound is rated by cnet it is far from the quality of other £1200 sets.
I was lucky in getting this tv for £750 with sony vat back but having saved for months and opting for this tv, i still feel a little aggreaved, i have had to upgrade almost everything to get the picture quality i had auditioned. Please remember that when WhatHiFi etc rate these Sony tv's with 5 stars they are testing it with all the best av component equipment which most of us simply dont have!

Good: - Internet enabled - HD tuner -
Bad: - slow to boot up -
Comment: I bought this TV from Amazon & it's a really good picture. I upgraded the software from the Sony website and this enabled the BBC IPlayer etc. A good buy - I can recommend it. Sony are moving to more 3D TV's in 2011 - which doesn't interest me , so it's a good time to buy at the end of 2010 while prices are lower.
