Comment: The TV seems great but my biggest problem with the Samsung smart TV is the disturbing built-in camera. I've heard this case of a girl who was actually stalked and harrassed via skype by a creepy guy who manipulated the camera on her macbook. And this TV's even connected to the internet. LG seems to be more level-headed when they decided to have a separate camera for privacy protection.

Bad: Expensive 3D glasses with flickers

Comment: I really like Samsung but their ridiculous attachment to the active 3D glasses is wearing me out. It's so obvious that it's inferior to the passive ones and it causes the customers a lot of problem with the flickering and eye irritation, so why don't they just once admit that they're wrong in their approach and go with the passive 3D glasses like LG? Do you always have to make a statement that you're against each other? Yeah, hand-motion and voice recognition is cool and all but I don't want my kids to grow up with their eyeballs turning inside out so I'll take the LG TV, thank you!

Good: quality 3d depth

Bad: price, app

Comment: It seems to me that additional features is one of the key points. But the additional feature has nothing that stands out. For instance, skype is a great feature but when will you ever use it at home? The jobs can all be done through connection to pc or smartphone. I work full-time and when i get home i just want to watch my tv program and go to sleep. I would rather recommend buying a television that's half the price like the LG 55LM660T

Good: nice color and low power use.

Bad: Shiny screen: reflections are a problem, tight viewing angles, low contrast, and more 3D crosstalk than in the D8000.

Comment: All in all, from what I saw at CES in Las Vegas, I think the ES8000 needs some kind of improvement in its motion and voice recognition control system. The voice recognition system in the LG LM960V where the mic is placed in the remote functions much better than Samsung.

Good: look

Bad: picture quality

Comment: the reason why it's loaded with all these features that a typical customer will not use more than once is because the picture quality is average but they still want to keep the premium price. LED on 46''+ screen = screen uniformity issues, bleeding etc. All these fancy features are just there to cover it up. How D8000 got 5 stars I do not know, certainly not for it's picture quality in dark(ish) conditions.

Good: 55 inches of super bright responsiveness.

Bad: TECH heavy interface. We want to watch TV, not become engineers.

Comment: The TECH may be too advanced for some people. Don't sell this to anyone who has trouble with remotes. Your service guys will constantly be running out to their home to figure out why it doesn't come on when they wave their hand.Samsung makes a great product. You can't go wrong with LED, it's the brightest tech out there. Whenever there's a question of size, always go bigger!

Comment: It's TVs like this that make me wish I had money for my bachelor pad. I would even be happy if they did a stripped down "gimmick" version that retains just the bezel, stand, screen and the on-demand features.
