Good: Quality picture and plenty of connections.

Bad: SmartHub

Comment: Everything that I'd hoped for in this television but with one surprise. Any (or so it seems) attempt to access an app or media needs to logon to Samsung. Why does the manufacturer want to know I am streaming a film from my laptop to my television if I try to do so solely using Samsung applications?

Good: Sharp Picture, top EPG

Bad: Slight Ghosting

Comment: Unlike another reviewer, I literally plugged in the internet connection and it was ready to go! Fortunately, I knew that some of the video on demand services were not available as yet. Still, it would've been nice to have 4oD etc. rather than just iPlayer.

I have to say the Smart TV functions are still very clunky, although much better than the LG counterpart.

Picture quality is amazingly sharp, especially when viewing HD channels. I also stream movie content from a NAS and it works superbly. There are a couple of times where you notice ghosting, but for a TV of this price range, I really can't complain. Happily recommend!

Good: Great picture, loads of features

Bad: Won't read ID3 tags on HDD external drive music

Comment: Lovely telly. But despite hours of messing around with formatting my HDD, which it claims to be able to read, it still won't show the titles, artists and albums on my MP3s. I've upgraded the firmware and tried everything. If anyone has an answer, drop me a line here

Good: slim design and allshare compatible

Bad: smart tv is rubbish

Comment: I liked this tv in the shop and was told in was internet ready which it is not. I was also told it supports itv player, 4od and bbc iplayer. The only one it supports is bbc iplayer. I contacted Samsung months ago for any info on if the tv will have the 4od and itv player apps in the future and had no reply. If you were looking at getting this tv then i recomend that you do not. Also the guy in the shop tried ripping me off by saying the only way to get bbc iplayer etc to work was to have it connected to the internet via a £75.00 samsung dongle. This is not needed as the tv has a ethernet cable port. But seriously i would look for other makes of tv as this does not do what i was told it did and samsung are no help when it comes to getting back to you with answers to your questions.

Good: Picture quality

Bad: Software

Comment: Really good picture, but for a 'Smart TV' the software is really poor - Samsung fill half the screen with apps you don't want and will not let you delete them -very poor user control. If I could take the TV back and get my money back, I would and Iwould buy a Panasonic or Sony

Good: picture qaulity and internet ready

Bad: backlight bleeding

Comment: i took the plunge and bought the tv becuase of the price and features.picture qaulity is really good, its only let down as it says in reviews by the backlight bleeding into picture in dark scenes, turning down the backlight doesnt do anything much to get rid of this but if you turn it doen to level 3 or 4 the picture for me is too dim.i like bright pictures with good contrasts.freeview hd built in is really good, overall a great value for money tv especially in the sales.cant really fault it apart from backlight.i would reccomend this if your on a budget
