Good: Picture is stunning, Very impressive sound for such a thin set, The TV very thin and elegant
Bad: Some image ghosting with dark on light
Comment: There were no problems setting it up - 4 screws into the base, 4 into the TV - sorted. This TV doesn't have a SCART receiver, but it has an adapter to accept SCART so no problems here. Four HDMI inputs make it perfect for having multiple sources at once: blu-ray, SKY, PC, etc.
I'm also impressed with the sound quality: being able to choose between different modes of music for the content you're using is nice, and the audio power is far superior to my old Samsung; crisp, clear and loud - you can pick up all the tiny details, even on lower levels.
When text is on very dark screens (for example my DVD's home menu), the writing can be dim but still readable. This could be fixed by upping the overall brightness. It's not an issue worth worrying about.
As for HD quality, the picture is stunning. I didn't go from a 20-year-old tele to this, I went from 1080p LCD to this 1080i LED (same size) and I can still notice a difference!
It's also a great looking TV too - very thin and elegant; would look great in any room, and is very light indeed.
I could mention the network ability (playing music or videos from NAS box) or internet, or Freeview (HD), but other reviews and the product spec covers that. From a consumer POV as an owner I can recommend this with confidence.
Before you will buy this TV I suggest you have to compare for best price at: Amazonshotcode.co.uk/Samsung-UE32D5000
Good: Great looking
Bad: NO FREEVIEW HD!
Comment: Add the freeview tuner and it's a done deal, I have a home cinema so the sound doesn't matter
