Comment: I can assure you the Netgear Range Max Dual Band Wireless-n USB Adapter WNDA3100v2 works perfectly on this model, available from Ebay reconditioned £19.99.

Good: HD Picture Quality
Bad: Viera and onboard sound
Comment: If your just after excellent picture quality with rich color and deep blacks, buy it, the set has plenty of input sockets: 3 USB, 4 HDMI, sd card slot etc however some of these are a bit misleading as this model will only accept one type of USB HDD for recording, this is made by Buffalo which costs more than a Humax HD receiver.
Although you can view video/music/photos from existing media on your USB HDD or flash drive.
The on board sound is extremely poor for a TV of this price, the on board preamp is just as disappointing when wired to a quality amp
The viera connect is way behind the competition with no ITV player or 4 on demand available as yet.

Good: Great picture quality, slim and light.
Bad: The menu is awful, and it doesnt seem to play all MKV files.
Comment: Great TV, however even though I have connected a hard drive and I can watch some movies off it. It doesnt seem to play all videos, even though all of them are MKV files. Also I cant seem to get it to record onto my hard drive.

Good: It is the best TV which I have owned
Bad: Pananasonic charge too much for their adapter
Comment: I tried the Netgear Range Max Dual Band Wireless-n USB Adapter WNDA3100v2 which other Panasonic TV owners had used, but not with this model. It did not work. Looking on Netgear's web-site it shows that they do not have an adapter for the TX-L42E30B 42" LED TV. Does anybody know of an adapter which will work?

Good: Value for money
Bad: They only recommend their wi-fi dongle for internet access and it costs 400% more than the average dongle
Comment: I've been in touch with Panasonic after my £19.99 wi-fi dongle didn't work and they said I should by theirs @ £84!! I have read elsewhere that someone had success with a different dongle so my quest is to compile a list of alternative wi-fi dongles which will work and I intend to post the list here --> http://www.facebook.com/panasonictv

Comment: I really like Panasonic. I have upgraded my 32inch TV to this one. I also have a Panasonic PVR, Home Cinema Surround, Compact Camera and DSLR Camera. Therefore I'm not one to criticise unnecessarily, and in almost all ways I'm very happy with the new TV. The picture is great, even crisper than the old one despite the bigger size, in SD and HD. Some peoples' complaints about the backlighting on these reviews are way over the top, it looks nearly perfectly uniform to me. Perhaps there were some faulty units, perhaps there was a problem with early models (order the reviews by date and you will see the worst ones are oldest with the new ones much better), or perhaps some people just like to try to make themselves look smart by complaining about technology. If you're unsure just go and look at one in a shop. I did and was reassured by what I saw and not disappointed when mine arrived. The new model has the same great menus/interface, same quick setup and linking with my other devices, like the surround sound. The sound is great from the TV and excellent through the digital out to the surround sound too, which still fires up from the TV's remote with Viera Link in 3 presses.
BUT: Why on earth have they moved the remote control sensor to the middle of the bottom of the TV? Exactly where the centre speaker of the surround sound should be. I can't have it there now because then the remote won't work! It's a schoolboy error, but the only blemish on a great product. and if you will buy this TV I suggest you have to compare prices before you decide at: Lowest-pricing.info/TX-L42E30B
Hope this helps.
