Good: Nice picture, excellent with BBC iPlayer
Comment: Picked up this last week (Richer Sounds £550) and turns out to be much better than I had hoped.
Ended up with this one because the equivalent Samsung had some question marks over a buzzing sound, and the Sony one was only 50Hz refresh that was very visible (this one is 100Hz).
The picture is good (I was worried it would be inferior to my old Panasonic Quintrix CRT), but I think that the electronics in the freeview converter are better than my old digi-box, so that makes up for any limitations of the screen technology. Not sure how picture quality compares to other similar TV's of this type, but it looked good in the shop.
Bought the optional wireless adapter (£50) and it turns out to be excellent. iPlayer is very good (previously I had used the Wii for this and that was a bit pants, with poor picture quality and uncomfortable pauses while it caught-up with the stream).
Picked up a cheap 1TB Seagate external USB drive (£50) and have enjoyed pausing and rewinding live TV. The TV only has 1 receiver so its functionality is a bit limited as a PVR, but its still a nice feature and if it works with Freeview HD it will be great. Freeview HD switchover is next month, so haven't yet tested that functionality.
