Good: Has to be best value 47" TV around
Bad: Dynamic backlight when viewing in dark rooms
Comment: I bought this as I wanted something decent but wasn't bothered about 3D and didn't want to spend much due to impending influx of 4k TV which are likely to be the norm in the few years.
The image is very good - not amazing, but very good. It took a while to get the optimum settings though. The dynamic backlight is a pain in dark rooms though as you can see it changing constantly. My wife doesn't notice much in the way of screen quality, but even she asked what the hell it was doing! I found that if you put the TV in Game setting, it turns this off. I'd recommend this for a low light setting and use the dynamic backlight when watching in a light room.
The smart features work well, but are limited (no ITV, 4OD apps). The file support for playing from USB, SD Card or over the network is very good. The menus are no fuss easy to use and get the job done well.
The set feels really well made. I looked at a similar priced LG and it just looked cheap compared to the Panasonic.
I paid £549 for this (47") and for that money you really can't go wrong.

Good: Great TV
Bad: NOT a LED TV it's a LCD high breed mix.
Comment: A great TV has everything you want, but if you dig around and look at theTV's back panel it's clearly marked as a LCD TV& no mention of it being a LED TV! I have the 37 inch version and it states on the box and on the back panel it's clearly marked as a LCD TV with a LED IPS system. so it seems to be some sort of high breed model a mix of both which is very unclear, as my girlfriend has the 2011 model which is 100% LED the picture on hers is much much brighter as this 2012 model tends to be dull at times ( even after bumping up the gamma and contrast etc) during tv shows or films with low light or dark scenes. I picked up on this straight away somehting the review here missed and Panasonic don't seem to want to own up to. Another small moan is if it's sunny the screen reflects slightly so reflections in the screen, where as again the older 2011 model which was 100% LED panal didn't reflect light at all.
