Comment: I have access to billing suggestions that VM are asking a select amount of randomly selected customers in a feedback forum. She is under non disclosure, so won't give anything I shouldn't away.
One thing I do want to correct. VM is not intending to have this for the big clients on L and XL only. It mentions pricing plans with M customers too.
Just like now, I have M TV package with £5 rental on the HD box, which is inclusive if i spent another 20 quid on packages.

Good: Interface, increased capacity - a new era for UK viewers
Bad: Likely to be a wee bit buggy at launch maybe?
Comment: Comments on the pricing are premature: Virgin hasn't released pricing for existing customers yet and the rumours are that to top tier (VIP) customers it will be free

Good: Speed, flexibility, intuitive interface, future-proofing
Bad: cost... I've paid for TiVo already.
Comment: I owned a TiVo for years and only got rid of it when I changed to a HD setup. I have used Sky, Virgin and Sony PS3 media programs and they are all without exception rubbish when compared to the TiVo system. The 'unique' feature people go on about - the thumbs up/down buttons - was the one I never used. The simplicity and power of the interface was reason enough to love it - its ability to search for programs with just a few button presses for example. The ability to stream web content and install new apps make it cutting edge for me.
I paid £200 to be a lifetime TiVo subscriber and don't think I'll see that again - hence half a star off. But I am willing to pay it again to rent the box (face it, renting has always been the norm with Sky and Virgin - even On TV, the precursor of Freeview, asked for the boxes back when they went bust!) The Humax DVR costs a darn sight more than the V-TiVo with fewer features. I think they've priced it just right.
I just wish there was some way in the UK of buying up old TV series to view again - say like Dexter S1 (without going through iTunes). But I believe it will come and when it does that this box will be able to cope with it.

Good: The box and interface are awesome, gives app for watching youtube and other feeds.
Bad: The cost of the box will be rip off as they still take the box back from at the end of your contract.
Comment: Personally I would like the box as it own broadband so no hassle with your home broadband. Has two tuners and one coming next year. Will be a great product if wasn't for the price which will just rip through the heart and minds of the people.
