Good: So far streaming quality has been excellent

Bad: Poor selection

Comment: I have it on a months free trial and looking through the available movies i think a month is long enough to see the movies i want to, after that i think ill be getting rid. Too many average movies from 'a few years ago', nothing in the way of new stuff, oscure or hard to get old of older movies. Perfect example of the problems faced on Netflix is that i saw 'The Godfather' listed and decided to settle back and watch the whole series only to find there is only the first movie available and that with no subtitles for the Italian parts.
It's a pity because it's a fantastic idea and the streams ive watched so far have been quality. Maybe in a year or so they will have improved their selection, if they do i'll be back !

Good: Good quality streams

Bad: very bad selection

Comment: I took the one month free-trial and was quite impressed by the quality of stream, even HD contents (I am on a ~16Mbs). However, after more than 2 weeks, I am already wondering what else I could watch. I enjoyed some American TV shows that I never watched before, but realized only a few series were available on Netflix and I cannot watch the rest, or the show has been cancelled and there's not much pint starting to watch it when you know there's not going to be any decent end. Film selection is really dreadful: a few good old films worth watching, but (being 47) I've seen most of them already. The rest (teh majority) are really awful films which 9as someone else said) probably never came out in cinemas. After I rated a few of the films I've seen, Netflix declared that my favourite category is "cerebral films"! If the like of "Fargo" and "lost in translation" are considered"cerebral", no wonder I find the rest dreadful. Being french speaking, I also like to watch foreign/french film, but Netflix offers me about a dozen of them (compare this to the 1000+ available on Lovefilm. Ok, they are DVDs, not streaming, but I prefer to wait a bit to have quality!). So, in conclusion, for the content they have right now, I would never pay £6 per month.

Good: Fast and easy use on all devices

Bad: Terrible selection of TV shows and movies

Comment: Incredibly small selection of TV content available on Netflix UK. If you want to watch a few old movies (I must emphasis "few") then by all means sign up to the free trial. By the time this is over you will most certainly have exhausted anything you might want to watch.

It's a real shame as it integrates amazing into a number of devices and is quick and easy to use.

Good: instant films, good quality pic, can be accessed through wii and laptop, straight forward, good price

Bad: not up to date movies, no trailors

Comment: We have been using a DVD rental scheme for some months, after finding Netflix we downgraded our package dramatically and just use this for really up to date films, overall we're saving around £10 a month by using both. It's true Netfilx don't have up to date films, but you'd easily watch older ones via a DVD rental scheme, and has many classics that we hadn't caught first time round. Thoroughly enjoy what we've watched so far. Love the option of watching on the Wii or laptop meaning we can watch a film in the living room and switch to watching it in bed half way through, also brilliant when ill in bed. Compared to its rivals who very cheekily make you pay extra for up to date films at the price not that far from renting from a shop, we find Netflix a brilliant way to watch films, have watched many so far without much issue, I'd recommend to anyone to give it a try, couldn't be without it now.

Good: Quick to set up, easy to use

Bad: Low content

Comment: I recently signed up for this as I've been sick. I was looking forward to watching some older episodes of TV series that I missed-early Fringe and Bones. Are these available, no. In fact nothing recent is available. I was quite stunned. I didn't expect to see recent episodes of any American due to SOPA but not to see any from popular shows that first aired 6 years ago. Again, the choice of films is limited too. I was hoping I could replace my Sky Movies as they show the same new films over and over again, sadly not. When my free trial's up I will be cancelling my account. It's things like this that cause piracy to exist. It's about time something was done about that.

Good: quick to sign up and to de activate if you dont like it

Bad: not enough new movies

Comment: tried it out as I am currently paying virgin £7.99 for sky movies and they play the same over and over, so netflix looked a good idea, sadly limited films etc meant I am now signed to love film for 4.99. again with the chance to stop it whenever I feel. netflix will come good and what did see of it was okay, unfortunately it is not yet available on my tv, only through my wii, so a lot of fiddling took place to get it up and running.. still there is hope for the future.

Comment: Completely agree with your review - and all the comments. Could be a contender if they have plans for better content. Some of the TV stuff is good though.

For some reason, they're keeping the fact that it's appeared on the latest Apple TV pretty quiet. But it appeared on the menu a few weeks ago.

Good: Picture quality is good considering you are streaming

Bad: Very Poor film choice., Very limited and not worth the £6.00 fee yet!

Comment: I am very happy in trying the 1 month free trail which allowed me to fully test out the options given first. The best choice offered is the quality of streaming films 8/10. This is a lot better than i was expecting, however the very poor amount of films on offer is very disappointing and not worth £6.00 fee. Even though £6.00 fee is not a lot, but so is the choice of films on offer. The sound quality i would rate 6/10, but overall i would like to see the amount of film choice given increased by YES! 1000% .. Manga films listed are around 20 films ! yet i have over 70 Manga films of my own collection, so you can see why i am not happy with the amount of films offer... More up to date films are needed in order for someone like me to serious sign up membership long term..

Good: Cross-platform support

Bad: Lack of (UK) Content

Comment: It's a good start. The most useful thing I've discovered about it is the regional content is determined by IP address. So if you connect via a US VPN/Proxy, your UK account will get you logged in, but you'll have full access to the US content. I watched Red State the day Netflix launched without any problems (other than the script)...
