"Almost, but not quite"
What I like:
Great picture and sound
What I don't like:
White patches on dark pictures
Review:
It is difficult to give an expert review as I have just upgraded from an old CRT TV that had terrible sound and an even worse picture… so compared against that this TV is incredible. It has a great picture, great sound, looks really nice without being too imposing in the room (40 inch is ideal for my room size).
However, the screen does show light/white patches when the background/picture is very dark. On completely black screens there are a number of faint white patches around the sides of the screen. I have tried changing the settings but it is not possible to get rid of it. I have learnt that this is a fault with all or at least a lot of this model.
Still a great improvement on what I had… but not perfect.

On 2 December, Freeview HD launched, at least technically. Sadly, there's no equipment that can receive the broadcasts at the moment, but the channels are certainly up and running
