"Best picture I've seen for under £1100"
What I like:
Stunning SD and HD images. What else do we need?
What I don't like:
Plastics' feel, sound could be "deeper".
Review:
Just bought this TV after a long search. Waited for 3-4 months to see prices dropping. I still believe that no LCD is capable of producing better pictures than this one (especially on SD programs). My only consideration was that it's not Full-HD but I had to pay at least £700 more for a descent 1080p LCD. My other choice was Hitachi 9700 but this was more expensive as well, without being better than this beauty! Although an old model now, it still has the best picture for the money! Note, that it has the same panel with the 600 series. Their only changes are the better speakers of the latter and the SD card slot. Excellent!

It's not much of a secret that iPlayer was going to turn up on freesat at some point. The good news is, we now know there will be a beta program run at the end of November

Good but not great. It's not quite up there with the best of the LED-edge-lit competition
