What is it: Budget 42-inch, 1080p LCD TV
What we think: Decent picture and sound quality prove a budget TV doesn't have to suck the will to live from your very soul

We like:
Reasonable price; good Freeview picture quality; decent sound; hi-def video and gaming performance are both very good
We don't like:
Resolution+ upscaling is still fairly pointless -- the TV produces a terrific picture with it turned off
CNET UK judgement:

It's an ideal TV if you want a hassle-free set that won't baffle you with options but still has enough controls to enable you to get the best-possible picture quality

On 2 December, Freeview HD launched, at least technically. Sadly, there's no equipment that can receive the broadcasts at the moment, but the channels are certainly up and running
