Although the LT-42DA8BJ is sensibly priced, we weren't overly impressed with the standard-definition picture. That said, you won't find many better 42-inch televisions at this price point

When it comes to TVs, £800 is a magic number -- if you're planning to spend £1,000, it leaves some cash in the kitty for some speakers or an HD DVD or Blu-ray player to complement your new HD Ready TV. If you want to throw off the oppressive shackles of a totalitarian sci-fi government, don't buy this TV. If you want a sensibly priced high-definition telly though, this is right up your street
