If you're looking for the best picture quality for your cash, we think the Panasonic Viera TX-32LMD70 offers the best performance per pound. This TV is from Panasonic's 2007 range, which means it will be replaced soon by a new model. The good news is that it's still a great TV and there are likely to be some discounts available at online stores.

When it comes to low-cost TVs, we're strong believers that the offerings from Samsung and Sharp provide great performance without emptying your wallet. Of the two in this round-up, we'd favour the Samsung LE32R87 because it has a picture quality advantage over the Sharp Aquos LC32AD5E.
