Despite its rather poor standard-definition showing, this is a fantastic screen for the price -- at least for those who have hi-def video sources or are planning on getting some soon. It's compact, easy to set up and live with and is the cheapest 'full 1080' 42-inch LCD around
Full review:
At around £1,500, this Toshiba is one of the cheapest 'big name' 42-inch LCD televisions around. Not only that, it has a 1,920x1,080-pixel display resolution, which means that it can show the 1080i high-definition format (the one used by Sky HD) in full line-by-line glory. All screens marked HD Ready can display 1080i, but most have fewer than 1,080 lines on their panels and so have to downscale the source to fit the screen. Not so with this TV. Continue Reading...
