gain rating
A good home cinema projector screen should have a 16:9 aspect ratio and a gain rating of between 1 and 1.3. The gain rating indicates how much light is reflected by the screen. Screens with gain ratings higher than 1.3 are unsuitable for home cinema use because they tend show images that are brighter at the centre than at the edges.
