contrast ratio
The difference in light intensity between the brightest white and the darkest black that a display device can produce. A higher contrast ratio is better than a lower one.

hi, am very interested in buying a sony kdlw 402000 tv at a very good price! but, the contrast ratio is listed as being only 1800-1cr as opposed to the normal oooo's ie 8.000-1 or 15,000-1. or am i missing something?
