AIFF (Audio Interchange File Format)
Apple's uncompressed audio format derived from the old Electronic Arts Interchange File format. On the PC, AIFF files generally sport an .aif or .ief file extension. Roughly equivalent to WAV files, AIFF files are very large, on the order of 10 times the size of an MP3 file.
