Iron Man: My new favourite techno-porn
One trailer that's never failed to draw a crowd round here lately has been the Iron Man preview. We saw the movie at the weekend, and weren't disappointed. Click here for more

Tech support, Moroccan style
I've spent the week in Morocco, testing Canon's new HF10 HD camcorder, because I'm the man from Crave and that's just how we roll. Interestingly, my iPhone couldn't tell me where I was when in Marrakech, yet high up in the foothills of the Atlas mountain range, I fired up Google Maps and bang: instant triangulation. The geek kudos was well worth the 50 bazillion pounds O2 will have off me for international scamming -- I mean, roaming. Click here for more

The iPhone's so good, I don't mind the price drop
As CNET.co.uk's resident Mac fanboy, I've had an itch in my wallet for a while now, and last payday I gave in. The iPhone hasn't changed the world to quite the extent the geeksteria seemed to presage, but it's been irresistibly drawing me in, like a tractor beam from a fully operational battle station, since the rumours began what seems like an eternity ago. On my Radio(paq)
I really want Radiopaq to be awesome. And on the most basic level, it is. Radiopaq, now out of beta, is an Internet radio portal that allows you to search for and listen to Internet radio stations. Click here for more

Bricking it: How stud subculture reminded me of the awesomeness of Lego
When I was a kid, I loved Lego. As the youngest of three brothers, I amassed a pretty tidy collection of 70s Lego (and yes, the plural of Lego is Lego, not Legos, no matter what anybody says). As a geek in training, my favourites were the Space sets, so I loved these reinventions of classic Space models. And when I wasn't, like most schoolboys, making handguns, I made a TARDIS and a very, very crude Starship Enterprise. Click here for more

Going underground: Oyster and the War on Terror (and commuters)
Fans of CCTV state conspiracies have been chucking their tin-foil hats out of the pram at recent news that MI5 is after Londoners' travel details. What surprised me isn't that spies want access to the Oyster database, but that they don't already have it. Click here for more

Texter: Wordy magic
My new favourite thing is text replacement. Just typing those words, I made the same typo I always make: M and N being so close to each other on the keyboard, I always end up with '-mnet'. Some other mistakes that are, for me, as inevitable as Windows crashing include 'avergae' and 'thta'. So I added those typos to a list of text-substitution triggers in the very clever Texter, and my wonky-fingered word-mangling automatically corrects itself. Click here for more

Must the (trade) show go on?
There's no business like show business... trade show business, that is. Right now, our man in Barcelona, Andrew Lim, is getting his hands on the mobile phone manufacturers' 2008 ranges at Mobile World Congress. Barely a week before that it was PMA 2008, a carnival of cameras, and before that it was CES 2008, a riot of gadgety goodness. Click here for more

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS11
Review Panasonic's compact cameras are usually solidly built and well designed, and the 14.1-megapixel Lumix DMC-FS11 is no exception. While it's not the most versatile snapper in the world -- its pictures suffer from noise in low light -- it is highly pocketable, very simple to use and pretty affordable too
