Good: Easy to use and inexpensive
Bad: There is a weakness on the input paper rollers causiing paper to jam
Comment: Have had four of this model the first three have all had input paper roller failures. The paper starts to feed in appears to be grabbed on one side and causes a jam. The latest printer will just not install from the installation disc, the installation is about three quarters complete when it stops and I get a message "The software for your computer could not be installed Installation error." At some stage I am told that the information for the drivers are not contained on the disc. "MS Error 1603 a fatal error occurred during installation." Have tried HP solutions which gives the same fault symptoms. I have taken it back to the shop where it was purchased and they replaced the installation disc, no difference it does not install. I have been trying to install for over a month now to no avail, my first three Printers were easy to install and I could not believe why I was having such trouble. the store that I bought the printer from say that they cannot replace as that model is no longer stocked!! I wonder why?
Bad: NO USB LEAD - WHAT A JOKE!!!
Comment: absolute joke to sell an item without an essential piece of equipment to actually work it!!
Good: Cheap price. Scaning is ok.
Bad: Sometimes grabs two pages at once - good luck printing long files on both sides of the page. Settings options are very basic. Maintenance utilities are basic and barely do anything. Very small cartridges. Runs out of ink pretty fast.
Comment: You could find something better for that price.
Good: Prints good, copies ok
Bad: Scan no
Comment: Had it six months, went to use the scanner for the 1st time, no sign of it, looked in all my programmes, can't take it back as I can't find the bill.
Comment: GOOD LITTLE PRINTER FOR THE PRICE WOULD BUY AGAIN :)
Good: The printer is very good value, I got it for only £29.97 and the ink was included. The printing and photocopying is great, the scanning software is great as it lets you instantly edit what you scanned and its lets you choose how many dpi you want. Also the ink is really cheap
Bad: The ink finishes quite quickly, and i'm not a heavy user

The ink does finish rather quickly even though I'm not a heavy user, but it is perfectly acceptable. To fix the problem buy the XL cartridges which cost a little more but it gives A LOT more pages, which makes it even better value.
The printer is easy to use and install, the ink is cheap, would absolutely recommend buying the XL cartridges. Also another advantage is that HP rewards for using genuine ink cartridges from HP, things like money off a product.
