Good: Not very much
Bad: Print heads clog far too easily and ruin photo prints, photo paper is far to costly for that!
Comment: This has got to be the very worst photo printer that I have bought, even when working it was infuriating, messed up prints etc.
I have 3 other epson printers 2DX's and an A3 Epson Photo1400, excellent printers.
But the R800 has been disconected and about to be thrown out of the window!
I was also rather disappointed with Epson "customer services"
"ink cartridges" only have a life of 90days after purchase, no matter what it says on the sell-by label.
I have opened 2 or 3 cartridges to find the "chip" faulty and Epson do not want to know.
So when I am due to change my printers I am afraid Epson will NOT be at the top of my list.

Good: The print quality is excellent
Bad: The life of the printer is awful
Comment: Advantages: excellent print quality.
Disadvantages:
1) I expected a printer like this to last more than 18 months. Mine didn't. I print mainly B&W docs with the odd colour picture, and only about 50 pages per month. I have printed maybe 20 A4 full page photos with it. My printer lasted only 18 months, then just died.
2) Print cartridges are extremely expensive, and if you take one apart when it is "empty" you realise you are wasting a lot of ink.
3) Photo printing is very slow.

Good: Great Print Quality
Bad: Expensive
Comment: I've had this printer for 6 months now and its excellent. The prints are really detailed and even with the cheap inks the quality is still great. For anyone thinking of buy this, it is great for home and professional use. Dont buy the Epson inks as a new set costs roughly £90, but the Inkrite inks and you can get a set for about £15. The printer will print directly on to CD's which works really well, but takes a while if you have lots of cd's to print on to. To get a panoramic picture I cut an A2 sheet to the right width, set the size on the printer settings and it printed on it fine. The ink lasts a very long time as well. The printer does not come though with a USB cable so remember to order 1. Photo
