"Banding and blotchy"
What I like:
The colour gamut is very accurate
What I don't like:
All prints display terrible banding
Review:
This printer has awesome potential, which is why I bought it, but it has produced nothing but prints with terrible banding problems compared to the silky-smooth, non-banding, tiny ink-droplet-looking Epson Stylus Photo 1280. The 1280's colours are not nearly as accurate and don't have nearly as wide a colour gamut, but it's SO much smoother AND sharper. I think I must have got a defective R1800. A new one is on the way, so I'll let you know how it turns out.
