Good: Looks, interface, sound
Bad: paying £20 for plugins, it wore out
Comment: This player has brightened my life for the past year. I bought it second hand and have loved every minute. Some people take a while to figure it out, but when youre used to it, the interface is surprisingly well thought out and nice to use. One small thing is that if you put it on hold during playback, volume can still be affected. This can easily be solved by pressing "tab" then "hold". The camcorder is not of massivly good quality, but now that Im replacing my archos, I am wondering what Ill do without the camera/camcorder! It was really handy to have a camera in my mp3 player.
It looks fantastic and the aluminium has a lovely quality feel to it, but after a year of my use (it was already 18 months old) the headphone socket has worn out, but 2 1/2 years is quite a long time for an mp3 player anyway. The processor is very fast which I found nice, as it doesnt stick sometimes like ipods do.
Overall, I have loved this product and would highly reccomend it to anyone.

Good: Ease of getting content on it
Bad: Feels like a tech gadget
Comment: The best of the portable video players yet - at least if you are looking to make your own videos as this Archos has a camcorder. I like a mix of my art house shots that I do myself and my BT Vision movie downloads which are really easy to get on the Archos Generation 4 players.
