Good: Super easy to setup. Much faster than old Drobo with Droboshare, Also quieter, and doesn't get as hot as prevous generations.
Bad: Nothing; however, a little more speed wouldn't go astray.
Comment: I previously owned a Drobo with the Droboshare add-on base station, to share via Gigabit LAN. I have always loved DROBO's automated and self healing drive redundancy. Really pleased to say that the Drobo FS is much, much faster than the Droboshare. With my old Droboshare used to get 10MBps (on a good day), wheras with the new DROBO FS, I get 30-35MBps over gigabit LAN. It's also better looking, sturdier, and has the option of dual drive redundancy. If you're looking for a NAS drive that can protect all your data, is super easy to setup, and easy to upgrade with larger HDDs, this is it!

Good: BeyondRAID flexibility, safety, and scalability. Ease of use. Time Machine Integration
Bad: Not a thing.
Comment: The FS is perfect for anyone looking to back up multiple Macs/PCs and consolidate and share media and files. Dead easy to use, peace of mind that data is automagically protected against drive failure, and future proof in terms of growing with your data.
If you are planning to regularly edit high-definition video, you should look at the Drobo S with eSATA. For anyone else, the performance is going to be more than adequate.
