The S10's six-cell battery lasted 4 hours and 1 minute in our video-playback test. The S10-2's six-cell battery proved slightly better, lasting 4 hours and 17 minutes. While that amounts to very good battery life (actual battery life will be even longer with basic use), netbooks like the Asus Eee PC 1005HA Seashell outperform it by a considerable margin.

Conclusion
With the IdeaPad S10-2, Lenovo has done a good job of slimming the S10 down, but it's at the expense of an ExpressCard slot. If you can live with the reduced connectivity, it's a decent netbook overall.
