Good: The large battery life is a definate plus.
Bad: The crampt keyboard and unresponsive mouse pad.
Comment: The ACER aspire one 531 looks to be one of the better netbooks around. The Intel® Atom™ N270 Processor and 160GB HDD are the same on most netbooks. Its better feature however is the 7 hour acclaimed battery life, which i have found to be more or less correct.
The design seems a little skeletal due to the connection from the screen to the base but when closed looks pretty classy. The battery does however end up looking like some kind of growth as it extends out of the back and its matte finish doesn't fit with the rest of the device.
As for performance i have the version with Windows 7 Starter as standard and it runs pretty smooth although some of the help functions require a higher resolution.
Overall i think this works as a netbook but i would suggest going for it's slightly larger cousin the 751 as it works better as a whole. If you do have one however don't be put out as it's by no means the worst of the netbooks out at this time.
