'Roommates' should be violently evicted
MySpace has launched a new show on MySpace TV, entitled Roommates. This weekly show focuses on the lives of some American girls who live together, or something like that -- it was too appalling to watch very much of this.
It's important to note that this is the single worst thing I've ever seen in the whole history of everything, ever, and I've seen some bad stuff -- I've seen Cannibal Holocaust, Irréversible and Men Behind The Sun. This pathetic, unconscionably offensive excuse for entertainment is insulting to anyone with even the tiniest amount of self respect. This badly produced, terribly scripted, pretending-to-be-reality show deserves to be strung up by its matching bra and pants and executed publicly.
Rather than me waste my time describing the show's 'content', you could have a look for yourself, but I wouldn't advise it if you're not wearing wipe-clean clothing. If you aren't blown away by the utter idiocy of this God-awful, trite rubbish then you're stronger at holding back your vomit than me.
Let us not forget how many 14 year-olds are on MySpace, with access to this stupid show. If I had to let my future children either watch Roommates or be raised into thinking two plus two equals nine, I'd choose the latter and at least rest soundly knowing my kids will be less stupid that way.
This show is about as pleasant to endure as dysentery, and I'd rather suffer the hideous intestinal ailment for a year than watch another minute of this pathetic and insulting excuse for Web TV.

Goodness ... sounds like a show I need to watch! LOL I am excited to see web originals finally getting wider distribution. There will be some good stuff out there eventually. JasonHink.com

Offensive? Inappropriate? Report this comment
Did Mr. Hink not understand the point Mr. Lanxon was putting across? Having seen some of this show, i agree with Nate and think its a shame that a website that has the ability to produce good media - and perhaps even try and instill some form of moral values into the younger generation - is pumping out what can only be described as a full on barrage of sensory abuse.

I just noticed this (and only) reply to my comment. (anonymous, no less) I still haven't watched Roommates. If you read closely, you can see that I am excited that there's now more outlets for productions to be accessed (i.e. the net). I'm sure it's "bad", according to your standards, but nobody is forced to watch it. As I said, and I repeat, there will eventually be good stuff to watch. Seek it out.
