Good: The wifi function, free text messaging, great for connecting with others
Bad: Service. Once warranty is ended there is NO available service
Comment: Both the 8GB and 16GB units are good for wifi connecting, text messages, games, music, photos but don't let anything happen to it because once the warranty ends PHILIPS attitude is 'just buy a new one' . . . they offer no repair service and think consumers can spend $125-200 to replace a unit that needs repair. I am disappointed in Philips and will look at other brands who have repair services available.

Good: android apps especially kindle for pc, wifi
Bad: lack of memory expansion
Comment: I really like this for browsing the net, email; sound quality of headphones with music is fantastic and reading books on kindle for pc is a bonus but the main drawbacks are (a) it often freezes (b) battery life is not good.

Good: The GoGear Connect 3 puts Android in your pocket for a relatively low price.
Bad: The GoGear Connect 3 has poor screen quality, a slow processor, no memory expansion, no cameras, no video output, and no GPS capabilities.

Comment: As well as a series of bonkers speaker docks, Philips has today announced a new update of its GoGear portable audio players. The GoGear Connect 3 with Wi-Fi is now powered by Android 2.3, with a 3.2? capacitive screen backed up by “wide codec support” to ensure as many popular video formats as possible are supported.
Philips claims it’s good for 720p playback, too. Here it is, looking pleasingly chunky:
