A five-band custom equaliser is built into the Clix and allows for some nice tweaking of music reproduction. There are also five preset 'SRS WOW HD' equaliser presets for adding some seriously dynamic alterations to music playback. These primarily deal with producing a sound closer to that of a live performance, along with some bass and treble alterations and 3D effects.

The iRiver PC software has a fairly clean design and doesn't pose any real problems to use. Transferring our 1.5GB test library took 12 minutes, which is pretty quick. The software handles your photos, music and videos. Videos are automatically converted into a file playable by the Clix. This took half an hour to convert a 30-minute file on our office computer.
Conclusion
The second-generation Clix is nothing short of
a work of digital art. Sound quality is superb, features are rich in
number and well implemented. We especially like the trendy rings of
Saturn background option, as this adds an aesthetic touch that we've
not seen before in an MP3 player.
If long battery life is your main consideration, consider Sony's NW-A808, which boasts up to 30 hours of continual playback; or if you need line-in recording, consider Creative's Zen V Plus, which will take your analogue input and transform it into a manageable digital file.
But for a flash-based MP3 that does practically everything well, look no further than the Clix 2. It's a little pricey, at £139 from Advanced MP3 Players, but it's worth the extra. It really is a truly remarkable piece of audio gadgetry and well deserving of a score that beats the iPod nano.

Good: Sound quality, display quality, navigation.
Bad: Additional memory card slot would be nice but who cares.
Comment: Boyz and galz, this is the best pice of flash playing hardware my hands ever had. The only sad thing is price, at least in Poland.

Good: So easy to use, looks amazing, sounds amazing, so many features.
Bad: Sound on video clips sometimes goes out of sync.
Comment: If you are thinking of purchasing this product, then do not hesitate a minute longer, this little beauty does everything you would want in a player. My music collection has never sounded better, especially when you combine it with a gorgeous display which is second to none. Radio, text files, picture, flash games, recordings and video playback are top notch although I have noticed a slight audio delay on one of the TV shows I transferred.
The software provided is pretty good I have had no problems converting video clips large and small to the clix. Music can be dropped directly onto the player or through available software which will ensure that the album art is displayed. The themes that are preloaded on to the u20 are amazing but you can download countless themes and fonts to truly personalize your Iriver Clix.
I recently showed this player to my friend and compared it side by side to his brand new iPod nano, his jaw dropped further and further to the floor at each "clix" as I showed what this little gem could do.
I recommend buying some decent earphones to really appreciate how good the clix u20 sounds. I’ve waited such a long time for a decent mp3 player and finally that time has come with the emergence of the clix u20 which beats it predecessor with its gorgeous new curves increased capacity, battery life and its highly competitive price. This device is the Zeus of mp3 players and I LOVE IT!!!
