Considerably cheaper than most other touchscreen handsets currently on the market, the 5530 XpressMusic offers a good user experience for the money. This music phone isn't as slick as the iPhone or HTC Hero, but it's easy to use and its sound quality is surprisingly meaty

The 5800, Nokia's first touchscreen phone, has video, music and GPS features to get the heart racing, but these are offset by a disappointing touch experience. While there's nothing outrageously wrong with the 5800, we're sure Nokia has better touchscreens to come

Best noticed for its teen-friendly looks, and best purchased for its musical abilities, this otherwise average Nokia 5220 XpressMusic phone does its main job well. It's not breaking any ground or adding anything new to the market, but what it needed to get right, it's got right

Nokia's 5300 XpressMusic handset has a cheeky, funky look and is sure to appeal to the younger generation. Menus are easy to use and so is the music applet, which also produced good sound quality. It's well connected with Bluetooth and has good call quality

The Nokia 5200 is a cheeky, stylish phone with loud colours, but is easy-to-use and also has a great battery life. Reception is good, while Nokia has also managed to cram in a couple of valuable extras, such as infrared and Bluebooth, making it a low-cost phone that's easy to get to grips with

Nokia's 3250 is a handset with a twist. Quite literally -- its key feature is that you can twist the numberpad section through 270 degrees, providing you with controls for both music playing and the built-in camera. We're not convinced this is necessary, but the phone's excellent battery life and great sound quality overcome any qualms
