One of the first 12-megapixel camera phones, the Pixon 12 M8910 is capable of snapping some great shots, even in low light, thanks to its powerful xenon flash. Its touchscreen is resistive, so it's not as responsive as capacitive models, but the AMOLED display is bright and beautiful, and connectivity is good

Samsung's Lucido offers up an excellent range of features, including a fabulous little AMOLED screen, which makes watching your 5-megapixel camera footage a pleasure. It's very resistant to fingerprints too, if that bothers you, and the microSD slot and GPS round out a perfectly decent 3G phone

The Samsung B2700 Bound is for the rugged type who isn't looking for fancy features, but wants a phone that doesn't mind getting dirty and damp in the great outdoors. It can survive a few nights out in the bush with long battery life, and it even has a wee torch, but not much else
