Review:
there are so many things wrong with the phone so i'll start with the beginning - turning on:
It takes a good minute or two for it to TURN ON by which i mean you can see the background etc. But it takes another 5 MINUTES before i can use the contact list OR texts. As if this didn't make the phone unreliable enough, the battery life is dismal. The most it will last is a day, with moderate use. Luckily though the charger is a mini USB-socket which is small enough to carry around but it's still smegging annoying.
The camera is useless. I though the point of having a camera on a phone is for the random things you wouldn't normally have a camera to take photos of i.e. drunken party photos etc. So PLEASE explain the lack of flash? i've had this phone for more that 6 months and taken about 50 photos.
Then the videos are an abomination. You cannot zoom while filming, only while on standby. The MAIN purpose i like to have video recroding on a phone is because I go to a LOT of concerts and like to keep myself a little souvenir. the sound that comes out of a concert filmed with this phone is just noise. distorted, horrible noise.
Then there's of course the general slowness of the phone. I thought it would be a good idea to install google maps as a more convenient pocket-sized A-to-Z. Bad idea. It takes between 5-10 minutes just to LOAD UP! then using it is SLOOOOOOOOOW! and it regularly freezes. I've often had tohold myself back from smashing it onto the pavement.
The music player is useless considering you need to use headphones that have a mini-USB as a jack. The headphones provided are A JOKE and I'm not gonna invest in some good headphones for the little use I have for it i.e. a backup for when my ipod runs out of batteries.
When it's plugged into a computer via USB it keeps disconnecting and reconnecting on its own. As if that wen't annoying enough, I have to hear windows making that noise every onther second.
The reason I am at a computer writing about the INQ is that i though it would be a good idea to back my numbers up if heaven forbit i lost my phone or got mugged. I knew there was a PC suite so I was fopolish enough to assume there would be some kind of backup/synching wizard to import everything onto my PC. How naive of me.
AAAAAAAAnd finally, there's the lack of a manual. I felt insulted when the phone arrived in a silly box, and instead of a manuel they had the cheek to send a bunch of colourful cards. OK, fair enough, it is very easy to navigate and i didn't have to look anything basic up. But for anything else I had to look online.
OK there are more things that I won't mention, save the fact that I once sent them an email with some questions WHICH THEY IGORED.
So basically: slow, unreliable, poor battery, poor camera, poor, poor, poor.
