Review:
At the time of this review, i've had my P1i a week or so, and had chance to explore the features. Whilst i am - on the whole - impressed, I can't help but feel navigating will take some getting used to, and in the back of my mind i'll always have a hankering for the ease-of-use of my previous phone, the W550i.
Contrary to the editor's review, i was able to establish a Wifi connection in about 30 seconds, 15 to root out the network key and 15 to type it in using the stylus and touch screen. I am also impressed that - when accessing the web - it will always look for stored Wifi connections first, before using WAP.
My main gripe is that I have to manually close down any internet connections (Wap or Wifi) after exiting the browser, or i could face a hefty phone bill come the end of the month.
To date I have been unable to alter the phone's theme, so i'm stuck with blue bubbles and ripples for now.
Other than that it is fairly quick loading up features, and a LOT of text fits on screen in the event I receive a lengthy text from someone, or want to browse a document online.
The business card scanner feature has so far been 100% accurate too, even if it took me some time to find the right menu for it!
In summary, a decent, clever phone, with a very good camera and well-sized screen, let down somewhat by a convoluted and ill-arranged menu layout.
