"Almost, but not quite"
What I like:
Its efficient, wide-ranging messaging facilities, its camera.
What I don't like:
The inability to deactivate backlighting on the sliding keyboard
Review:
Having only just upgraded from the SPV E200 I am not really in a position to make a valid judgement about the ED650.
However, I was prompted to write because the OVERBRIGHT automatic backlighting of the sliding keyboard EVEN IN BROAD DAYLIGHT causes dazzling and makes typing on it far more difficult than without backlighting (though of course its fine in dusky or dark conditions). The Light Sensor Enable feature is set to ON in Power Management, but is apparently over-sensitive because it takes really bright conditions to disable keyboard backlighting. If you set it to OFF then backlighting is permanent. I would have wanted a backlight disable option to made available.
Or have I gone wrong somewhere? Any help would be greatly appreciated
