"Fundamentally flawed"
What I like:
Good looking, great slide out keyboard
What I don't like:
No sound when making a call, aftercare service
Review:
Avoid this phone at all costs.
I recently purchased the S710 while on business in Oman; after eight days of owning the phone I noticed during calls that I couldn't hear the other callers voice although they could hear me clearly! Baffled; I spent the night going through the settings convinced that I had pressed one of the buttons in error. Realing there was a fault I searched the internet to find to my horror that the "no sound" thing was a common occurence with this specific phone. See the link below.

After taking the phone back to Carefour where I bought it I was told the phone was not exchangable and all I could do with it was get it sent for repair; I told the salesman that was not an option and that I wanted at the very least the phone changed for another model. I have now been put in touch with the main HTC agent in Oman and will speak with him on Monday. I will follow up with a response.
Lessons learned:
Don't buy the HTC S710 as it is flawed with a known problem.
The aftercare seems to be very poor or non-existant.
Buy from a reputable agent with a realistic exchange policy.
Hope this helps.
