Typical price: £100
What is it: A superb-looking slider phone that is seamlessly designed and features a heat-sensitive glowing red touchpad
What we think: We're in love with the look of it, but the touchpad can be awkward to use and it's a shame about the lack of expandable memory

"Kept the box, binned the phone"
What I like:
Appearance when it's been polished
What I don't like:
Erratic response to touch control, subpar battery, inexplicable cutting out during calls
Review:
Thank goodness it was a free upgrade. This phone showed such promise with the slide function and size and simplicity I was looking for with that touch of class. But it smudged so easily I spent the first hour cleaning it with the special minature cleaning button and replacing it in its velvet pouch. I overcame my obsessive compulsive disorder and started actually using the phone, trying to ignore the finger prints.
It kept dying on me in mid-conversation.
The battery gave no sign it was running low and died within 24 hours.
The overly-touch sensitive screen meant I found myself ringing the GUM clinic when I wanted to ring by Gran.
I've binned it, kept the box, and returned to my Samsung E800 which I've yet to find a match for.
