Typical price: £280
What is it: 3G slider phone with FM radio
What we think: Well built, if somewhat chunky, the 6280 has plenty of compelling features, including extremely good access to software with the slider closed

Review:
When I purchased this phone I was torn between this and the Motorola V3x, but based on previous problems with Motorola phones decided on the Nokia.
The phone arrived at 10am, and I spent a few hours playing with it and getting used to how it worked. By 5.30pm the same day the phone was dead, it had turned itself off and would not turn back on - all it would do is flash Nokia and then fade to black and turn off.
I took the memory card out, and it just repeated the process in a loop then went dead completely.
I am awaiting a new handset, to try again - but on searching on the internet I have found this is a very common fault. I hope my new handset doesn't suffer.
Overall, this phone has the potential to be great but is let down by an unstable operating system.
