Typical price: £190
What is it: Ultra-thin candy bar handset
What we think: If you are looking for the very latest features, the Slvr is not going to set your world on fire. But if you want your phone thin, black and stylish then it is worth considering

"A nice looking, sexy phone which is held back by its camera"
What I like:
The sexy look, very sleek and looks expensive, very luxurious
What I don't like:
The antiquated VGA camera, the cramped d-pad and layout of keys
Review:
A good phone for those who loved the V3i but hate flip phones. I used to have one but palmed it off on my brother and instead purchased a V3i. The main reason for this was the speed of the thing. There is always a lag between pressing a button and the action being carried out. This problem is especially evident on the included MP3 player, where the lag became almost a second. Another reson for dumping this phone is the d-pad. I have big fingers and I had to grow my fingernails so I could use them to use the d-pad, that's how awkward it is! Also, the layout of the keys is hard to get used to. The middle row of keys, the 2,5, 8 and 0 are a bit below the other keys and this is hard to adjust to. Also, the VGA camera is really stupid. Why would you spend all this money on making a phone, putting on an SD card slot and other cutting-edge features and then put a VGA camera in there? Motorola is hyping this phone up as ultra slim but it is not actually much slimmer than other phones on the market and looks like a brick next to the Samsung X820. Motorola can't say that the reason for the VGA camera is to allow for the slimmness of the phone because the Samsung X820 is much slimmer than the Slvr and still managed a 2-megapixel camera with auto-focus.
