Typical price: £300
What is it: A compact Windows Mobile 5.0 handset with a built-in Wi-Fi adaptor and an expandable miniSD slot
What we think: The O2 XDA IQ is one of the most compact Wi-Fi enabled phones we have seen. This isn't a perfect phone but we're too bowled over by the relatively small form factor and built-in Wi-Fi adaptor to care

If you can stand the Hero's occasional sluggishness, it's a fantastic smart phone packed with great features. We like its distinctive looks, and the innovative user interface brings Android much closer to being as fun and good-looking as the iPhone OS, while being far more customisable. Occasional lag and Android's rough edges mean it's not quite an iPhone killer, but it's definitely fighting in the same class Read full review |
The Nokia E55 is impressively slim, has great battery life and is easy to use. The hybrid keypad may not be to everyone's taste, but, once mastered, it's surprisingly effective. Overall, it's an impressive handset Read full review |
