What is it: Email-centric smart phone with a Qwerty keypad
What we think: We can see what Palm is aiming for here, but we think it needs better features to succeed

We like:
Smaller than other Palm handsets; interface is easy to understand
We don't like:
Lack of 3G and Wi-Fi; 1.3-megapixel camera; lack of built-in 3.5mm headphone jack or adaptor in the box
CNET.co.uk judgement:
As a smaller Palm device, the Centro performs as expected. With regard to the younger market at which it's aimed, we think it lacks the features to push it into the limelight. Sure, it's a straightforward device if you want email on the go, but in terms of its camera and music functionality, we feel very underwhelmed
