What is it: Smartphone that can synchronise calendar, contacts, music and more with your PC
What we think: Nothing exciting in the looks department, but nicely featured and easy to use

We like:
Easy to use; good screen; loud speaker
We don't like:
Far too little built-in memory; flash memory card lives under the battery, necessitating lengthy power-down and up
You might also need:
miniSD cards, Bluetooth headset
CNET.co.uk judgement:
Though the SPV C600's looks aren't much to write home about, its shortcuts make it quick and easy to get around. There's also plenty of built-in software, much of it aimed at professional users, but Windows Media Player 10 could prove useful for music if you fork out for a bigger miniSD card
