Typical price: £140
What is it: Slider phone with a 2-megapixel camera
What we think: With neat hardware, and mostly good software, the D600 suits both workers and funsters, but it's just let down by a couple of niggles

We like:
Lovely screen; plenty of memory; accessible flash memory slot; easy to use with slider closed
We don't like:
No voice dialling; no infrared (just Bluetooth); not enough volume on music player
You might also need:
Wired PC Connection kit, Bluetooth headset
CNET UK judgement:
This is a neat little slider that shows off the best of that handset format. It has features for professionals and fun-loving types, a great screen and a side-mounted slot for memory cards

Samsung a song to us with its D600 MP3 phone
Sing a song of Samsung, pocket full of MP3s, two-point-zero megapixels baked in a mobile phone. When the phone was switched on, the songs began to sing, wasn't that a dainty dish to put before the consumer?
