What is it: Touchscreen smart phone with GPS, Wi-Fi and HSDPA
What we think: If you're a businessman or gagdet freak this is a must-have phone, but less demanding users might find it too chunky
T-Mobile MDA Vario III Review
Reviewed on: 9 November 2007
T-Mobile has added another HTC device to its product portfolio and if you're a T-Mobile MDA Vario II fan, then you'll definitely want to have a look. It comes free on selected T-Mobile contracts.
The Vario III looks very similar to its predecessor but it has a few extra tricks up its sleeve, including GPS and an adjustable screen that tilts upwards.
In terms of notable differences between this handset and the HTC TyTN II, T-Mobile has preinstalled CoPilot Live version 7 on the Vario III so you have a satellite navigation device right out of the box, which alongside the built-in GPS receiver works well.
You also have access to Web'n'Walk and T-Mobile's HSDPA network for speedy access to the Internet at speeds of up to 1.8Mbps.
