Comment: I HATE THIS PHONE... AND I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND IT.. THE CAMERA IS SO NOT GOOD.. THE MESSAGING IS HORRIBLE I HAVE HAD THIS PHONE FOR A FEW MONTHS NOW BUT GOIN TO GET RID OF IT SOON ITS A CRAP PHONE... I DON'T LIKE IT AT ALL :(
Comment: Having read many reviews regarding this phone, I was slightly worried about some issues with this phone. But, I must say, I now think that those reviews are totally unfair.
Firstly, the resistive touchscreen doesn't cause any issues. Once you figure out how much pressure to exert, and it isn't much, the touchscreen feels easy to use. As you say in the review, it responds well to swipes and taps.
The sound, picture, image and video quality are fantastic, no matter what any reviews say. Youtube videos looked fantastic, with the 3G and processor quickly loading videos.
It comes with a number of great features, and there are many more free apps to be had.
On the issue of the OS used, Android 2.1 is fantastic. Some may be disappointed to find that ZTE haven't customised Android to their liking, but I see this as a good thing, considering when many companies use Android, excluding HTC, their version of it can be terrible in some cases.
This is an amazing phone for a dirtily cheap price of £80. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a decent Android phone, whether they are new to it or a seasoned veteran of the operating system.
Comment: i would recomend to any one
Comment: good phone
Good: The Android System, The Design, The Wi-Fi, The Reactive Touch Screen, It Is Cheap, Good Audio.
Comment: The ZTE Racer is a really good phone in my view. It has a wide range of apps on it. Lots from the apple app store are on the android market! The operating system is great and it is a quick phone. I think the Wi-Fi is good. I don't see why people get an iPhone for £££ when you can get an Android Phone for as cheap as £99 (With 3 Network)!
I can barely fault this phone! :-)
Good: Cheap, LOTS of features, Cheap, Big Bang for a small Price
Bad: Battery life, cant use skype on wifi only on 3 network
Comment: WOW just WOW / The biggest bang i have seen for my buck.
I have not yet seen a phone with soo many features at this price.
Phone feel it bit cheap and 'plasticky' but looks great and u can over come the feel when u start using it, as u will be so involved in using it u wont know what it feels like :P
but of course there is a down side to all these features which is battery life. It is decent but it could be better, having said that I do use the phone almost 5 to 6 hours continuously on skype or web browsing. But keep an eye on killing apps u r not using using the app killer on androids and also turing off Sync, GPS, Wifi, Bluetooth, and not having it on full bright indoors, etc.
Also one down side was that you can not download skype using the official skype website. you must use 3 (if in UK). And because of this you can not use skype on Wifi only on the 3g network u can. (i think this is because 3 only want u to use them for skype when on their phones)
But the phone is excellent, i don't think u can get a better phone then this unless u spend a little bit more and get the HTC WildFire.
Bad: battery life very bad
Comment: I seen this phone for 79 pounds in Tesco, so best to shop around, I like using the internet, the GPS is ok, but I never had GPS before, so ? and it a little slow in finding where you are sometimes, even getting wrong a few times ?
Still for me, as I use it mostly for Facebook, twitter, etc, it is very good :) just battery life not that good, may I use it too much ?
Good: Small, quick surfing, wifi, 3G, best bit mobile Skype through Three network.
Bad: Typing, spell check, low res screen, needs 2.2 for flash. Wont play BBC News!
Comment: I bought this ZTE Racer because it was a good and cheape way to learn android before slashing out on an HTC Desire or large tablet phones flooding the market, and have a spare and it's done that job very well. However, I'll not change from BlackBerry. I use an 8900 daily, it blows all other smart phones away for communication, blogging, and social networks. I have a storm, and a 8520 and love them to death... The BB 9800 with a querty looks good but too heavy! BB surfing is fine, but I use a netbook for that with a big screen... The ZTE Racer's greatest feature is true mobile Skype on Three, not restricted to wifi and it's free... Brilliant!
