Good: It is oblong
Bad: It is android
Comment: It makes me miss the Nokia banana phone.
Good: how it look.
Bad: Screen problems, Weak body.
Comment: I bought this product 24/12/2013 and on 10/01/2014 the screen start showing colored lines and then it went blank with background light. I took it to the shop where I bought it and they send it to the service center, and they told me I have to pay AED 1200 dirham to fix it. The reason they said there is a 2 millimeter tiny scratch in the body and they said is a proof of force drop. I refuse to pay and I took the device and start searching the internet for display problem on xperia z1 to discover a huge universal problem where people complaining of same problem and sony refuse to fix it. I send complaint to sony online and they totally refuse to respond. It seems that sony totally realize the manufacturing defect of their products, but they won't do anything about it. What an attitude. I compare this to what happen to me with my ipad mini, when it was damaged by water. I took it to the shop where I bought it and tell them the damage is because of water. They took the device and told me that the service center has the right to refuse to fix it because of two problems.. First is the water damage, and second is the dent mark in all corners due to drops for too many times. What happen after two weeks is the gavie me a new ipad. After this I start hating sony products and I sware I am not going to buy any sony product as long as I am alive. I will try hard to minimize my japaneese product as well. Sony Good bye

Comment: best phone out
Good: Smooth operations, unbeleivable quality, the best out there
Bad: scared to drop it
Comment: Everyone goes on about the size - I remember moving from a small Nokia to the Blackberry and thinking that was huge. The first time I picked up the Z1, it fitted straight into my hand, it was comfortable to hold and really light. Getting used to the extra size took about 1.8seconds. The bevelled sides makes it really comfortable to hold over the Samsung which has a strange point to it's edges in it's unsymmetrical design, the Z1 feels really smooth in the hand.
The screen is crystal clear and I have no problems watching the latest films on it. You get Elysium free to download and I watched it all the way through on the phone with no eyestrain.
The battery life isn't as bad as everyone makes out, you just have to be realistic with the options you have turned on all the time, with any devise, if you have everything turned on it will suck the juice. Great customisation on the power settings and the ability to automatically change when you walk into different locations - have a setting for home, outside, on the tube / bus, at the office, this will maximise battery life and keep the phone optimized for functionality wherever you are.
I don't know how I lived without my Z1 and I can't put it down (still can't drain the battery though, no matter how much I hammer it, have no idea how people came to that conclusion!!)
Now updated to Android 4.3, the phone is fast and smooth with connectivity up to the eyeballs. with NFC, no more spending hours trying to pair devices or search for them when you want to connect, simply place it up against the device and 'bingo'.
I have the SW2 with this, which is very handy as it means I rarely have to wave a £600 piece of kit around in public just to read the latest useless info from Vodafone. Voice dialling, google search (voice activated) all great fun.
I love this phone and I think everyone should get one.
Good: Built quality, super fast
Comment: amazing phone with super powers :)
Comment: I forgot to mention that my pictures tend to disappear! I don't know what happens but some of the pictures I have taken with the phone are nowhere to be found!! So I can't even rely on the phone for taking pictures...
Comment: Almost immediately after buying this phone I noticed the software bug, where every time I plug in the hand-set to be charged it erases the customisations I have made to handset for my personal use. While plugged in it then flashes an advertisement encouraging potential customers to buy an Xperia Z1. But of course, I do not need to be convinced every time I plug it in to purchase my own handset!!! The advertisement goes away when I touch the screen but then the phone starts treating me like I've just bought it (by showing me things that I Already know!)
I did try various ways to reset the system information, and at best the solution proves temporary with the bug returning the second time I plug it in.
I almost immediately sent the handset in to Sony to be repaired, within two weeks. The repair centre did not fix anything, returning the handset back with the original problem. If they adjusted anything, my guess is that they may have tried the same basic techniques I did to reset the system, found that the bug did not appear the first time it was plugged in, but did not try multiple times. That though is speculation, as I have no idea what they did or did not do.
Recently I installed Spotify on my phone and realised that every time I'm using the app, the phone goes to sleep mode after 30 seconds showing that Sony advertisement video and changing the volume on the phone to default (8/10). This can be frustrating at night when I don't want to wake the whole house up with my music! I've tried changing the display setting sleep mode to 30 minutes but when I listen to music my phone is usually plugged in and that's when I can't change the phone's settings (cuz when the phone's plugged in that video starts, and all my customisations are rest.)
Now Sony has asked me to send in my handset again to their engineers for repair. I'll be pretty upset if they return it again with nothing fixed...
Comment: Superb product exudes quality, if it performs as good as looks and feels It will be amazing
Good: screen, battery, speed
Bad: confusing at first use
Comment: I moved from my nexus 4 after Deciding the nexus 5 just wasn't anything special. And boy am I glad, this phone is beautiful to look at and hold.it's smooth processing power and speedy Internet browsing make my tech heart feel warm inside. The 4G with Vodafone give me speeds of 40mb/s in Manchester so . Never have to wait long on any download.
The battery life indicator is very specific all the way to 1 percent which is wierd at first but is very useful.unlike Samsung phones which say battery life is full until 50 percent then suddenly drops to red.
With the app juice defender plus running I get two days of use with no issues. And i use my phone alot.
The camera is just an extra to me so won't say much on that. But the screen is beautiful and colorful.
All around you won't be disappointed by this phone!
