Good: Large & very legible screen. Bluetooth ear phone will help when using as a phone.
Comment: Nearly bought it 3 months ago. Price was a deterrent opted for Asus Fonepad Note 6.
Good: good screen & spec
Comment: I never thought a phone could be TOO big having had a Note 1 and a Note 2, but unfortunately the Sony Xperia Ultra Z is. Big screens are great for viewing and for making less typos when you type or swype but the bezels are too big, the device is too thin and it's really, really difficult to hold. It's too thin and slippery and the edges are so square it just doesn't fit securely in one hand, picking it up is a major issue. You could probably find a device with a screen this size that is perfectly ergonomic but it would need to be very different to thuis.
Bad: too big and expensive
Comment: Had my eye on this smartphone but it's too big, the full actual size makes it not very portable. It will not fit in my inside pocket of my motorcycle jacket which is where my current phone lives. The waterproof feature is one good and important feature. For my personal needs it would be ideal but the size and price is a turn off.
Good: Somewhat powerful, vivid colours, luxurious look
Bad: Far too large screen, too expensive, boring same old look, rubbish speaker
Comment: It looks like a beautiful phone but the thing is it's so similar to the Xperia Z but it just has a much larger screen which is so pointless. 5 inches is big enough enough for a phone screen but 6.4 inches is just ridiculous! It might aswell be a tablet, it's horrible to hold in the hand. Yes it has a nice display but it's far too expensive.
Comment: somebody who buys this phone will obviously know about the huge screen size, so it's ridiculous to list that in the minus column. The rating should be based on things that aren't immediately apparent, like battery life, build quality, picture quality, etc.
Comment: Why do reviewers insist on marking phablets down for their large screen size. It's like criticising a 4x4 for being too big, or too high off the ground. That is its very essence. For the same reason it seems silly to criticise a big phone for being big. It was made to be big. People buy it precisely because it is big.
Good: Screen size and music quality through headphones
Bad: Loudspeaker is very quiet and camera not to good
Comment: Had the s4 previously but sound quality was terrible this phone on the other hand is brilliant I mainly use it for music and Internet So it's the perfect device for me
Comment: my co-worker's mother makes $75/hour on the internet. She has been without a job for 6 months but last month her pay was $16453 just working on the internet for a few hours. straight from the source....
Bad: Too big
Comment: To big to carry around in pocket without risking damage.
Good: Almost everything.
Bad: if your clumsy might not be for you.
Comment: Agree with previous reviewer, fantastic screen, really light considering size, incredibly fast and superb for browsing, watching media. As a music player ,coming from the Galaxy nexus ,no real comparison, the Sony is brilliant compared to that handset but surprised by Cnet reviewer critical of battery life, stamina mode when activated gets me thru' whole day plus meaning i charge about every 30 hours or so.Best mobile device I've had to date.Camera is perfectly adequate in good light like most smartphones but i have a CSC for proper photography anyway.
