Good: bang for buck, exmor rs sensor, fantastic all rounder, Facebook Inside Xperia,
Bad: could do with a slightly few more megapixels, I would love to see White Magic returm.
Comment: I am a product tester and have had this phone for a month now. I will keep this brief.
for once cnet are pretty accurate about their review after theirterrible Xperia T reviee a few months back .
I agree the camera could do with a few extra megapixels for extra sharpness but its exmor rs sensor is making photo taking a dream. very dark? very bright? fast moving images? the photos alwaya turm out fantastic on here. I often found the xperia t struggled with things like that and I ended up having to retake photos so many times. not with this. if your going to use the camera for facebook then get tbis, remember, fb downgrades the quality of all images anyway.
its facebook integration is the best ive ever seen with FIX (Facebook inside Xperia) and the new widget system on android.
its new Bravia 2 engine is good too. its a smart way of making up for the lack of hd .
its glowing strip is really fun too. I love the way it flashes different colours depending on what message or notifiication ive recieved.
its got the new version of the qualcomm s4 processor found in the T also. the one which has been beating a lot of quadcore processors in bench mark tests. sadly though, after doing a benchmark test next to my T ive learned there isnt much difference in speed between the two.
Good: Great for gaming, browsing is a breeze and the experience is quite seamless
Bad: Camera leaves a lot to be desired, Screen is a fingerprint magnet
Comment: I've owned this phone for close to two weeks now, even the heaviest of games (GTA Vice City, NFS, all gameboy titles etc.) run seamlessly. Phone response is snappy. Screen is rich and colors really pop!
I love the phone's design. The illumination bar is actually nice, adds a bit of personality to set it apart from the legion of brick phones out there.
That being said, make sure to invest in a screen guard. While the phone does sport Gorilla Glass, it gathers finger prints and dust and all manner of undesirable stuff like crazy!
Finally, the camera is extremely underwhelming. Casual snaps are cool, and outdoor photos under decent lighting come out great (with the Bravia engine making the photos look better than they are). But all in all, the camera is just average. Which is sad, because this is one thing that you'd expect Sony to get right.
Comment: Quite a nice looking phone, and to clock 1.7Ghz out of a dual core chip is pretty impressive....
Comment: Excellent mid-range smartphone with great power, for the everyday man out there.
